Andrew Ridgeley

Andrew Ridgeley is an English musician, best known as one half of the pop duo Wham!, which he formed with George Michael in the early 1980s. Born on January 26, 1963, in Bushey, Hertfordshire, Ridgeley primarily contributed as a guitarist and co-writer to the band's music. Wham! achieved significant commercial success with hits like "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," "Last Christmas," and "Careless Whisper," the latter being co-written with Michael. The duo's upbeat pop sound and charismatic stage presence played a crucial role in the second British Invasion of the United States, helping to redefine the pop genre in the 1980s. Wham! sold over 25 million records worldwide and became known for their catchy melodies and vibrant music videos. Following Wham!'s split in 1986, Ridgeley pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album "Son of Albert" in 1990, though it did not achieve the same level of success.
